I simply don't get how you want to play stereolab avoiding m7 and ma7j chords

Lots of mistakes. For example the spark plug one is noncence:

- Spark Plug
Verse : Am – D
Chorus : D – E – C – G

The proper chords are:

Verse : Am7 – Cbm7
Chorus : Dmaj7-Dbm7-Cmaj7-Cbm7
