Not an encouraging development in our modern, progressive society. What a peaceful world this will be when we all stay at home, sip our docility juice and smile warmly at the flickering screen.

Mm. Orwell seems to have written what was just a scary book to many people. Then it became a warning, now, it just seems to be a preparatory manual; not a future to be wary of, but one with which to reconcile ourselves.
