Margerine Eclipse links to the middle era

Margerine Eclipse has that bass heavy poppy bubbly feel that sets it apart from the other Stereolab works. Recently some of the forum members have discounted ME in favor of the more allusive works of the middle phase (eg. Dots, Cobra and AT) and SD. Most of the songs on ME do carry this pop feel, however upon a closer inspection there are three songs on ME that indeed do have a style that takes you back to the middle era. They are Cosmic County Noir, The Man With 100 Cells and Hillbilly Motobike. Can anyone else reference any other particular songs from Stereolab albums that stand out as links to previously or later released Stereolab music?
