Oh well, I think I have built enough karma points on here with the projects I have worked on and given away to still go to heaven. ;)
Were the source of these 'Karma Credits' you are claiming actually yours to give away?
Tell me, were you the composer, the lyricist or performer; what specific rights were bestowed upon you to make the choice to give away these art forms?
How do you justify your action?
Looking at the Stereolab item for sale it is clear that, although you may have collected Stereolab items for 15 years, you are not a connoisseur.
Record Collectors pay top dollar for Mint items, that it is being suggested that the buyer would solely be interested in the wax and turn a blind eye to the poor condition of the sleeve and still expect to pay the premium price, indicates that you either believe the addage that a fool and their money are easily parted, or you have wholly swallowed the myth surrounding the item.
Were I in the market for a copy then the 200 that are in existence would be sufficient to sustain my levels of patience in waiting for the item because, even at its current bid value, it is grossly overpriced.
I'm wondering whether I should set up a book on the final 'bid winner', I'll bet I'm right.
Oh well, as Cyberpainter says, "sometimes it ends up being a topic of discussion (like it is now)."

OK, so far you have accused me of being a thief and an idiot. You ass. I normally don't lose my temper to people like you, but you have gotten personal for no reason. What ownership to you claim on this board that I should be playing by your rules. Obviously you are in the minority with your opinion (no posts have yet to share it). I am a member of a record collector board and floated the situation for feedback there and they all felt that being a long standing member of a forum it certainly would be OK to post an item for sale.
And now I'll bite on your accusations, first, on your point of permission. First of all everything I shared was free. Not only did I have permission for the recording of the shows that I recorded but permission to do the project. I spent two years collecting material, editing and collaborating on the project. 10 copies were sent to the management and 5 were taken to Mary's family after her passing.
Secondly, while the sleeve of this record has a slight crease in it, the vinyl is in (unplayed!) mint condition. I am not suggesting that anyone pay "top dollar" nor "premium price" for it. I am expecting that ebay will fetch a fair market value for it. And the next time you are selling something, please make sure you sell it for half of what it is worth so you don't feel like a hypocrite. I for one (I am guessing I'd have support on this one) would like to get as much as possible for things I am selling. If someone bids 800 pounds for it, I will not feel bad in the least selling it to them.
So you keep your opinion, and wait for another one to come to market (If you were "in the market for a copy") and let me know what you pay for it when it comes up again (never).
