Holy iTunes! I'm only on my first listen, but I'm already wishing it was more song focused. This seems like more of a soundtrack. It's Broadcast though so I will keep trying! |

I think it's just like "minus two" track from pendulum EP, but this time we can hear sounds from the forthcoming LP |

wow. that was interesting. I will buy it on vinyl and play it once or twice a year, so it will always remain interesting to me. I liked it. I liked it a lot. It's experimental, which should be applauded. so far, I think this is their best effort. yay, something interesting to listen to every so often. thanks Broadcast!

I'm glad it's so experimental sounding. but it's also got a couple of catchy tunes. I couldn't understand the lyrics though, they were a little muddled, unfortunately. I guess they'll sound more clarified on my lp. still don't know if I'm going to attend the show. I want to. I like to listen to some rock and roll, live, every now and then. |

ok. that's a little dramatic... no, it's great. I love that it's experimental but still a little catchy. a little Ingrid what's her name...hopefully it will have lots of commercial success! no, it's got some nice melodies and I do enjoy the distorted experimentalism, sounds and tuning, especially I enjoyed when the voices were chattering, the multitudes of chattering voices. but honestly I'm trying to figure the witch thing into this, because it is a concept album. call me C-R-A-Z-Y. It didn't sound like witchcraft at all. |

visually I like it and that's a large aspect of it. again with all the distortion and Trish isn't parading her image around. but again with the witchcraft, I think they missed the mark on that. I haven't analyzed the lyrics yet. the distortion certainly lends itself to a radio cult, in someways. but this is definitely a release I will put under my microscope and scrutinize note for note, utterance for utterance. because that's what I do nowadays. I don't indulge the artist at purchase value. I was promised an Investigation into Witch Cults and that's what I was expecting. Trishes' voice does not really enchant me anymore, she sounds like a child with a funny accent, and I have children at home that sing as well as her. without a lyrical coalescence I'd say it sounds interesting much better than 99% of the releases today, but is that really saying much? It's nice to see you guys so excited about a piece of music, and I too hope to enjoy my vinyl of this. I think it would be great to play for my children and expose them to something neo-experimental as far as rock is concerned. |

but do I enjoy it? yeah, it's okay. I would own this, which for me is saying a lot because I'm extremely particular. Would I purchase it I weren't a member of this forum. yeah. would I play it often and do I intend to play it often? no. maybe five times within the next year unless I find it truly exceptional. if I find it truly exceptional I might play it five to ten times in the next year. WHY? because it's not a studying album, there's too much other great music to study. If they had adhered to their concept it could have been a studying album. It's a pop album! I'll check it out, it's still intriguing. |
