Who cares? i'm sure kanye west cared when his mom died from a titjob gone awry. or the 8 year old twins that former miss argentina, solange magnano left behind when she died from a botched butt surgery -- i bet they care. to take that sort of risk is just dumb and selfish.

hito wrote: I disagree with women doing it to feel good or look "better". Moreover, my point was especially about the negative effects where males now actually long for the "perfection" of fake boobs or think a featureless face with peroxide hair is better than a person who looks natural. I think the idealisation of collagen lips, baseball boobs and white hair exemplified in Pamela Anderson has done women and girls across the world a major disservice. I think plastic surgery actually isn't just a case of "who cares?" but actually something that ruins life for everybody, like advertisements. agreed.

I think people are funny looking, too. I used to work on a plastic surgery ward. It was the best job I ever had. We only dealt with people who had been in accidents since it was at a teaching hospital. I've seen a LOT of stuff. Facelifts don't last that long. what I don't like are those cheek and chin implants. those look so obvious to me. I'm good at spotting cosmetic plastic surgery. It's like a sport with me. We also worked with the burn patients at that hospital. I love plastic surgery. It's sewing with lidocaine. It's great. I would have made a great plastic surgeon.

I was a plastic surgery scrub nurse. The doctors and the nurses loved me. I was the most trusted scrub nurse on my unit. i got all the good cases. I could have made a lot of money just as an aide/scrub nurse in plastic surgery. It's the only kind of nursing I know. I can always get my old job back. I love it!

another plastic surgery I hate is when they take the corners of the mouth and lift the corners up where the people have a permanent smile!?! Oh jeez, that is so big with celebrities. oh gosh, it looks like the Joker from Batman. it really irritates me. they can also do the same thing with lip tatoos. oh that is so ridiculous looking. yeah, I'm so sure the corners of your mouth permanently smile. what a hideous, useless surgery.

She just said and did about everything that i was complaining about. Thanks for upping the video but it makes me sad. She was actually quite pretty beforehand but so dumb and obsessed with fame. She is a part of a machine.

She is a dimwit of sorts, but at least she's upfront about it all, and completely self confident in her responses, no matter how flawed her logic might be. I think what may be lost in this discussion is that most cosmetic plastic surgery and procedures are not as extreme as the Hollywood examples. A little something here or there to improve your appearance. Would you deny someone reducing a huge shnozz if it bothered them? How about dying their hair? Getting braces? Dressing fashionably? Wearing makeup? Or getting rid of acne scarring, birthmarks? It's all a matter of degree. And as far as aging goes, like I said, if you're out in the dating scene, how many guys look at older women when the pool of women much younger than them is such a draw? Is there anything wrong with a little tiny nip or tuck, or smoothing out a few wrinkles if it gives a person self confidence? Try to step in their shoes if you possibly can. Hollywood is not the real world and not what most people want.
