Transient Random-Noise trivia

I've searched on this forum, but it seems this trivia thingy hasn't been mentioned here yet, 'though maybe I'm wrong...

I've just found out that the title, the cover art, some song titles and liner notes of Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements as well as a sample from Jenny Ondioline are taken from this demonstrational LP called "Stereo Test Record":
http://www.discogs.com/Artistless-Release-Hi-Fi-Sound-Test-Record/release/1358752
Absolutely mind-boggling how they've come up with the idea of lifting so many details of some test album for stereos.
Also, the following note on the sleeve:
"for people who desire the finest in sound...always demand Duophonic Ultra High Frequency Disks"
is another reference, but to a similar sticker on the releases of Command Records (you know, Enoch Light...).

Just sayin'.

Re: Transient Random-Noise trivia

Good job. I'm sure it was all discussed on the old forum, which we don't have access to anymore. :(

Also "Space Age Batchelor Pad Music" sleeve....

I landed on the following page whilst looking for a picture of that sleeve to post - it's quite a lot to scroll through and mostly stuff which has come up here in the past, but there were a couple of odds and ends I hadn't heard of before:

Re: Also

Thanks hobo, I hadn't seen that before. I wonder if that Milton guy ever posted on here. Though he seems more peeved about the lab using references.
