Biden/Palin debate

I'm really looking forward to this! Should be the most entertaining event of the year (besides the Stereolab tour).

Yeah, I can't wait. It should be a riot, if you can get over how sad it is that we're even talking about Palin.

She's only done about 3 crappy interviews over the last month compared with Biden's 100+ interviews. You know they're nervous about letting her talk when they won't let her out to play. Just about everything she's said has been lies or generic non-answers.

However, this is what scares me:

Re: Biden/Palin debate

'Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.'

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President .

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.'

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle.'

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain.

'You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of idiot put her up there to begin with.?

Har! Har!

Yeah, I've already thought of that...I can just see the news shows talking about how Biden was a bully, all out to embarrass poor little cutie.

Just So I Have This Straight. . .

. . .the debate moderator just wrote a pro-Obama book. I'm sure we're in for a fair, balanced debate. If this were a trial, she would be excused as an inpartial juror.

I would boycott the debate if I were the GOP.

P.S. Not sure if I like the new forum. Martin, why didn't your people notify my people first?

Please Advise,
Cybele

Gwen Ifill aside Cybele....does that mean she's qualified? You could have Hannity up there throwing her softballs..a duck is a still a duck.

Cybele I know you are the most die hard republican in America but COME ON! Have you not heard Palin talk? She sounds completely uninterested in foreign affairs. She thinks by being neighbors to Russia makes her qualified. The worst thing about her is she can't speak in complete sentences. You would probably make a better running mate. But i have to give the republican party some credit, they at least found someone that makes George W. look like an intellectual.

Did anyone see when Katie Couric asked her what news she reads? She said "all of them." Katie asked again "no, specifically, what publication?" She could not answer. i just can't believe that after 8 years of Bush they could someone even worse.

Re: Just So I Have This Straight. . .

Why do you constantly find it necessary to categorize me as a die-hard Republican? I've always tried to listen to everyone's points. I've conceded when I found them valid, and given my agreement.

I sound like a broken record saying this, but believe me, I'm not a die hard Republican. I'm just really, really not a Democrat.

I've repeatedly stated this, but, Jasonspaceman, if you want to keep leading off every argument with "Cybele, we know you're the die-hard Republican, but _____" then I guess we all have no choice over here, do we?

Say it enough times and I hope all of you understand that that doesn't make it true.

Please advise,
Cybele

Now. . I made the post stating that the moderator of the debate is subject to bias because she wrote a book endorsing candidate B. And your retort was to criticize candidate A and label me a die hard Republican??

Can you answer to the post I made? Ah fuck it, let's flip it. . .I'll ask you this: would you want the moderator to be Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity? Would you envision a balanced debate if either of them moderated?

Please advise,
Cybele
