no. not me. early lab isn't my favorite. I didn't buy a cd from 92- to early 97. those are my "lost" years. My favorite lab is from ETK to present. I also enjoy two or three songs off Space Age. I like the way they develop their sound. It's part of the fun. I can't even think of them as a guitar laden band. That's crazy, steady, brutal. I prefer later lab; it suits my taste just fine. but it's fun to listen to the early stuff, too. It's not my preference. I think they have continually improved with each release. When is Chem Chords Deux coming out? I am getting anxious to hear that one. It'll be worth the wait.

Well albums of 92 that are better: PJ Harvey - Dry Faith No More - Angel Dust Beastie Boys - Check your head Ministry - Psalm 69 End of Silence - Rollins Band They Might be Giants - Apollo 18 Daisy Chainsaw - Eleventeen 99.9 F - Suzanne Vega Spine of God - Monster Magnet Ice Cube - The Predator Tom Waits - Bone machine REM - Automatic for the People (bar everybody hurts) And if you were to go era including 1990, 1991,1993 then don't get me started. Stereolab were good then but this was the stuff of the era. Stereolab WERE just finding their feet.

Early REM might compete in my mind with early Stereolab, as I used to love those albums.

super falling star is the first track i ever heard and still one of my favourites today. their early output is wonderful. i'm glad they changed course over the years though and diversified their sound. listening to peng sound-dust for example the evolution is pretty remarkable.

Seems incredible that fans turned away upon hearing Dots & Loops.
