Americans want Obama to fix in a day what took Bush 7 yrs to destroy.

"Most Americans have been spoiled for so long by high economic times that they resent Obama for not being able to flip a switch, and drop unemployment back to 5-percent overnight. But it doesn't work that way, and most people don't want to hear it. Bush and the likes of AIG and Goldman-Sachs left a mess the size of Mt. Rushmore for Obama to clean up, and everyone wants it gone yesterday without excuses.

Yet even worse, if Obama is voted out after one term, ten bucks says his successor will be hailed as an economic genius for reaping the fruits of Obama's dirty work to stabilize the economy. "

Exactly.
Maybe we needed McCain to win just to really drive home the point, but I don't think America would have lasted 4 years under him & You Betcha.

You guys had no problems blaming Clinton for a long time on all sorts of stuff.

I had republicans telling me years ago all about how policies take a while until their effect is felt, etc, and my what short memories they have now.

Yes - 1/3 as much as Obama just tried to spend for healthcare, or is trying to spend with his budget.

Shit, I'll be the first to admit that Clinton was a saint compared to Bush. When have I ever been as over-adamant as I'm being accused of?

Also. . .

. . .from reading the political posts on this forum, it would appear that the Congress and Senate has never historically been part of the political process. How many years has it been since the GOP had majority seats in either? Been a while hasn't it? What's been the approval ratings of the legislature these last few years?

All hell will break loose in November.
