Furthermore. . .

. . .we can debate Iraq, but the war in Afghanistan is compulsary, in my opinion. You wanna get behind our troops or what?

Re: Furthermore. . .

it's funny when bush had the GOP congress bowing to his needs and never questioned any of his actions towards afghanistan or iraq. just gave him blank checks aka taxpayers money.

EXACTLY. Obama is trying to invest the taxpayers money back into the country versus spending our money on 2 senseless wars with no end. Exactly what did we get out of that? ONE HUGE WAR BILL. Did Bush tap into the Bush savings to fight his private wars? HMMMM???

. . .from reading the political posts on this forum, it would appear that the Congress and Senate has never historically been part of the political process. How many years has it been since the GOP had majority seats in either? Been a while hasn't it?

We haven't had control for all that long, and you can bet Bush was trying to run the show as "the decider" during all of his 8 years, not just the 1st six years, so any good we tried to do he would veto.

Starting around Clinton's time, take a look at how long and how much the republicans have been in control (until 2006):

Yes, that's quite an over-simplification. . .as usual.

Here's an idea. . .how about cutting spending alltogether, hmmmm? Then we don't have to borrow from another country and pay interest on it.

Eh forget it. . .dunno even know why I waste my loving keystrokes. . .

The amount Obama's proposed for his healthcare is a very minor drop in the bucket compared to other things such as the war(s) machine, so insignificant compared to everything else... and yet so important to accomplish as the current health care system we have has been helping to wreck our economy and people. Sick people mean people that aren't paying as much taxes, and our tax dollars pay for them anyway when they need to finally go to the emergency room after they've let a problem compound & reach the breaking point since they have no insurance. The Congressional Budget Office has said Obama's health care proposals will practically pay for themselves.

Why does the right have no problem funding wars that kill innocents and breed more terrorism rather than investing in our own people's future for a very small percent of what they spent on the wars?

Re: Also. . .

I hear ya Labhead, I really do. But really, we're a year in, Bush cannot be re-elected, and there was an entire other branch of representatives in the Legislature that have had a hand in things.

A year ago, Move On helped affect a dynamite campaign and we have a new president. Three years on, will we still blame Bush or will we truly move on?

After 9/11, I distinctly remember Bush getting the blame. It's really tired and it's not going to hold water in November. It just ain't not gonna.
