But, are you still smoking?

Re: Low-carb diets

everybody is different body types. I take in to consideration that when someone is recommending something for me, they're trying to sell me a commodity. and I prefer whole grains. and exercise. and Atkins diet almost killed my father. I watch my cholesterol.
One thing and one thing only contributed to my weight gain and that was drinking alcohol. Now that that's been eliminated, or moderated, I've trimmed up or down. and I've increased my activity.

Re: Low-carb diets

what I said might have contradicted what you've read, but I'm a woman, and trust me, weight control, diets, and exercise are our areas of unsurpassed expertise!! It's our life mission.

Sodi-Pop = Obese, Speedy Death

Your body can't metabolize the corn sugar because it isn't suited to metabolize it. Even if it was actual sugar, 90% of the calories are made of that sugar so, again, your body has no idea what to do with it other than die. Pancreatic cancer has 5% survival rate.*

That's right. . .DIE!!

Re: Low-carb diets

I lost a lot of weight and gained part of it back because I'm too weak to resist snacks sometimes. I have to get my willpower back.

My main way to lose weight was to reduce my total intake of food gradually, and increase exercise. I just tried to have a balanced diet with whole grains, not much fat etc.

Humans tend to eat way more food than our bodies need.

The study sounds iffy. However, less processed sugar is always better for you anyhow.
