Re: Sodi-Pop = Obese, Speedy Death

All I did to reduce some weight was to stop drinking soda pop. Only problem now is the vodka nightcap which is high in carbs since it is made from potatoes.

Re: Sodi-Pop = Obese, Speedy Death

I'm into week 2 of the no-sodapop diet in order to avoid the afore-mentioned health risks and loose weight. How much weight did you loose and what was the rate of loss, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm still drinking beer though, so that sort of screws up the premise I guess.

Re: Low-carb diets

Whoa,

That guy just made a pretty good case for beer actually being "better for you" then soda AND fruit-juice!!!

See?!?! Beer is better than good. Beer is better than water!!

I started Dec. 26 and have dropped 15 lbs. Those slacks that I had shoved to the far end of the closet are fitting again! Before, I was drinking maybe 3 or 4 pops a day. Walking my dog more often has helped as well. I've substituted tea. Earl Grey and Lady Grey are my constant companions.
