No, it can't. PirateBay etc will seem like a good option but these downloads may be loaded with date relevant (9/11 for example) timebombs puposely planted by crackers - this may be how your machine 'got the clap' in the first place.
Adobe now have a very strong activation code going - QuarkXpress used to have/has something called Heartbeat that effectively 'phoned home' every now and then and it was only a matter of time befor Quark could check the legitimacy of the software. Adobe has a hidden Service that, if disabled, will not allow starting of the software and when active does the ET thing.
There was a crack that involved formatting and re-installing the OS and the CS suite to stop this from happening but there were a number of things that couldn't be done with the machine unless PS did the ET thing.
The bottom line is, if you are earning a living from something that someone else has to earn a living from, do the decent sensible thing and BUY IT.
