i see where you're coming from and where you're headed w/ that. i know its hard to see beyond the here and now but the reality is that changes are happening and no one can stop them. trying to squelch techno-piraty has never and will never fully succeed. a lot of people regard it as a disease, a cancer. but what if its an evolutionary mutation..?
i dunno where this will all end up but what if, out of necessity, it forces our society to use its imagination to find new ways of production and compensation? we haven't depleted all the options -- we haven't even begun to explore them yet!
