i think you're right, i might have said something along those lines. and i think i was wrong to have said it in such definite terms -- art is art, whether money is or is not a motivation. yes, it does change art's nature but it doesn't always nullify it's force or meaning.
and i agree w/ you -- this is an exciting time for art. a lot of us are uncomfortable w/ all of its uncertainty but that's exactly what excites me!
