Insound.com has listed a new Stereolab LP to be released on November 16, 2010!!!!!! I guess this is either Chemical Chords II or a new switched on compilation. Either way, very exciting.

i've just googled very quickly and found some twitter feed that's pretty much suggesting the same two theories (i.e. chemical chords 2 or another volume of switched on) and, well i'll let you find what the "and" is:

Well, yes and no. If it comes down to things that I
would call commercial reasons, it interests me, to be honest, less thanif it were for something that seems like an idea which is aboutcommunication. I remember on the tenth anniversary of Stereolab, wewere going to do a record with Drag City. We made a really good album,not a crappy thing, not a throwaway thing. But we wanted to press up500 copies of this album and then distribute them randomly to people inAmerica without them (knowing anything) about it. My interest was tosee how many came back — and (these would be) not music people, justpeople randomly picked in phonebooks, and we’d just send it to themsaying "this is a new album, do what you want." And it’d be interestingto see how many would come back into circulation, what would happen.
