Am I the only one still listening to this band?

I certainly hope not. So many songs! So many wonderful titles! So many fond memories!

Listening to Dots & Loops and all the other albums today is a completley different experience than it was 10 years ago. The music seems to reveal itself to you and ripen in curious ways. A new sound might become more apparent in a song. A new lyric might get stuck in my head for days on end. I never really acknowledged the brilliance of "Tomorrow is Already Here" until last summer. I had been listening to ETK pretty regularly for over 10 years.

I still have a feverish need to explore other music of the past and present, but I can rarely go more than a couple days w/o needing to get some sort of Stereolab related fix. I don't look forward to the day that fades.

While I like quite a lot by Stereolab, their lyrics have pretty much always sucked (at least on the whole).

I'm just stating an opinion, I'm not here to be attacked. If you are looking for lyrics, Van Morrison is a far better choice. Stereolab, to me, is all about the music. Tim Gane is indeed a musical maverick and voices work best when treated as instruments, instead of a bunch of lame, topical Leftist rubbish. It sounds good in French, though. Just not in English. Ol' Dirty Bastard wrote a better lyric.

Yep, I don't think their lyrics are much cop either, the music is the only reason I ever listened to them and I rarely listen to them now anyway, I listened to Strobo Acceleration about 3 weeks ago but that's all.
Attacking non lefties on this forum is very commonplace.
