The film director left the United States and lived the rest of his life in Europe as a free man. Then he makes a trip to Switzerland and gets arrested for something he did more than 30 years earlier: ridiculous.

Velvetwater, he was not arrested for the crime of rape. He was arrested because he is a fugitive from justice, and he still is a fugitive to this day.
Why should a convicted felon be allowed to flee justice and get away with his crime any more than he already has? What legal reason is there to allow him to be free?
