I am actually amazed that there isn't greater attention paid to his leaks by the public. He released footage of the US killing citizens then mowing down the people who tried to help them. The video game attitude of the soldiers should frighten everyone and leave no doubt as to why these wars will never be "won". Now I know there is hype in highbrow circles but this disgusting footage has not brought widespread indignation. How any US politician or general could mention "winning" these wars without howls of protest beggars belief.
As an aside, has anyone got any idea what "winning" the war in Iraq or Afghanistan is supposed to look like? I have never heard it articulated.

I take it you are making a joke. If not, how does he make money? How is he pretentious? Given the video he released, I don't think pretense is really the issue. Civilians were machine gunned to death and then those that came to save them were shot dead. And the guys that did it said "nice". I hardly think Julian Assange is just some fop.
It's not that I don't care, but whenever I dare to criticize the American foreign policies on this forum, Cheeso fall on me like a ton of concrete.
Modern soldiers (especially American ones) are spineless cowards who enjoy killing harmless human beings from a safe distance, as this video (and others) are showing.
The USA would solve most of it's problems of education, housing, healthcare and wellfare if they could divert about a quarter of it's military budget towards these ends, but they don't. They are fools governed by fools.
These fools never stop to claim loudly: "I support our troops, I am a Patriot".
You are therefore supporting murder, you fucking moron! These soldiers are not fighting and dying to protect your freedom, not anymore. They are fighting for corporate greed. They don't deserve any respect.
