Re: Prog Fans. Your help please.

I'm an older used to be prog fan. Not so much anymore. I can't tell you much about the new bands except that I didn't care for Porcupine Tree's "In Absentia". Sweden's The Flower Kings are going strong, but I thought the latest ("Paradise Hotel") was pretty bland next to a disc from a few years ago "Stardust We Are" - or something like that. The best "new prog" songs are actually things like "...sudden stars" and Puncture in the Radax Permutation by our own Groop, but I digress.

Classic Prog albums -- PG & Genesis - Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, The Lamb; Yes - The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge; King Crimson -- Red, Larks Tongues in Aspic, Discipline

Hon. Mention -- Scotland's Pallas in the early '80's, when Prog was dead -- "The Sentinel", "Arrive Alive (live)".
