Laetita's By The Sea

Heard new Laetitia track 'By The Sea' on 6Music last night...wonderful stuff...quite poppy...can't wait for the album. Check it out...it's about 1.48 into the show...

Re: Laetita's By The Sea

It's a cover of this beautiful Wendy & Bonnie song.
Good reinterpretation. It has a nice "live" feel.
I am glad, judging by the two songs we have heard so far, that the record is not just "guitar and vocals" like her shows.

Re: Laetita's By The Sea

Ah, I didn't realise it was a cover...she does pick great tunes to cover tho'....Monade's 'At Last I Am Free' is also a beautiful tune.

Yeah, I'm glad too the album should have a little more variety than we were expecting.

Re: Laetita's By The Sea

"The album features a band and musical collaborators, including Richard Swift and April March and French musicians Julien Gasc and Emmanuel Mario, who also collaborated on the final Monade album Monstre Cosmic. The songs were recorded in two separate sessions – in the UK and America - by Mario and Swift respectively."

I love this album, I have the special 2 cd set with the demos and live on the second disc.

Re: Laetita's By The Sea

There's apparently a second female voice on the track, I wonder if that's March or someone else?
