Lab and Charles Long - Amorphous Body Study Center

Did anyone ever get the opportunity to see this installation?

I had the good fortune to catch it at NYC's Whitney Museum back in '95-'96.

It was basically black, modern-styled chairs and tables that were covered in huge piles of pink modelling clay (the chairs had the stuff stuck to the underside, the tables; on top). The tables had long, frond-like tubes sticking out, w/ headphones @ the ends.

The idea was to sit w/ the headphones on (listening to the 'Lab), whilst prodding and pinching the clay into whatever form suited you. It was amusing to step up to the display and see all the little designs that were left by people who came before.

There were other designs strewn about the room w/ the headphones sticking out, but the pink clay tables were the focal point.
