i used to listen to this stuff back in the day.
before i became so young.

just put a flower called nowhere on stream.

its good, but not what i'm about these days.

tho its an immortal song. maybe.

still lasts now.

So then 78, how young are you now and what are you about these days?

What was your favourite of the old Stereolab? I love the old Stereolab, you should try it again.

Re: old stereolab

to be honest, i first got into this board, 'cos i liked tothink i had decent, snobish taste in music still.

i am now listening to la roux. which is a bit pop.

out of old 'lab, i like transient.

but i'm pretentious with that stuff.

i like all the new stuff more. as these times are more accepting.

i am no longer a recluse, tho i suffer because of this, alot.

guess i'm still a weirdo. people treat me like a loser, but tehy all haters. imo.

Re: old stereolab

Yes Transient is great, my favourite Lab album. But, you are right that it can seem more 'acceptable' to like the newer stuff. Don't worry about what others think, like the stuff that you like, not what other people think you should like.

I doubt you're particularly weird. Maybe 'eccentric' is more appropriate? I think eccentric people are usually very interesting and likeable. I think some people I know consider me as somewhat eccentric, but I kind of like that.

Re: old stereolab

i used to like cobra alot when it came out.

but you cant listen to an album forever.

thats why i like when 'lab brings out compilations.

like abc music, serine velocity, and the other one.

to be honest i dont like kol much, or the waterd down

stuff they all love to relece these days.

but thats the skin i'm in and the age we are in.

i live my life through musical telepathy.

because the real world sucks.

i get harassed by most people i know, if i am to be honest.

they either worship me, or do me real bad.

like they want me to feel bad about myself for no reason.

:(

Re: old stereolab

Maybe people just don't understand you. That doesn't make you a bad person. It may be the case that they are wrong and you're not.

Re: old stereolab

You may think you lose, but if you're nice to people, fair minded, and do the right thing, then you will eventually be the winner.

Take care,78. 2am here and I'll soon be shutting down.
