Re: one man bands

Hmm? He's not quite as ambient as BVDUB, I can't imagine relaxing in my lounge with him playing in it, it was pretty funny though, cheers Joe.

Re: one man bands

Call me old fashioned but isn't Mike Oldfield a good example of a one man band?? I mean how about "Tubular Bells" I haven't had a copy for years but I'm sure it's all performed by him....

Re: one man bands

Bvdub. Hypnotic, mystical, intimate, good for hiking alone through the countyside as a component of the journey or for some contemplation on a rainy day. Thanks.

Re: one man bands

I was watching Beck on yt last night for some time with the guitar and harmonica going. "Baby, You're A Lost Cause" is a fave. Actually, your point if making one, has merit. It is a fine line between perfoming solo with an electronic board and doing same with a guitar. What I was getting at originally was who is performing solo with a certain level of complexity in multiple layers of sounds and melodies. Truth be known I prefer Beck over all of the above for frequent listening. He does look like Thurston Moore, but 2 ft. shorter :).
