Thanks. I remember a similar one sparked a debate from her opinions on downloading. She's always had a way to communicate to fans though-HERE! lol Singer of Stereolab is kept present tense so there's actual hope. :)

I love the two pictures of Laetitia. Notice in the color photo how the blue compliments the determined expression on her face. The black and white so moody as it should be.

Do you think? I used to think that the hiatus was just going to be a rest, but I'm not so sure these days. Still, at least they quit when they were reasonably ahead.

They're smart people. Why not just say they broke up unless it'll be short-term? I'm just speculating.

Re: little interview with Laetitia

they're smart enough to know how f-ing good they are and that throwing that away completely would be fooooolish.

an album or EP every few years certainly wouldn't hurt. they seem to have the process down doing it from afar. I'd like to think that Tim, Laetitia and all involved still really value what they've created and keep it going at a speed more conducive to their current lives.

Well I'd like to think that would be the case, but I'm not so sure. Laetitia does seem rather happy being a solo act.

Also not so sure that the slower output made for better records. FFS, CC and NM weren't the greatest IMO.

If they're gone for good, then at least they have a back catalogue that's better than most. Better than these will ever be:

Nice interview, thanks for sharing!

I kind of figured Laetitia must be into yoga and meditation...the lyrics to "Intervals" especially got me thinking this :)
