Taylor McFerrin at The Queen of Hoxton

Oct 11th 2011

Brainfeeder's Taylor McFerrin is redefining the term “one-man show.” Combining his skills as a producer and performer, Taylor is making music heads around the world take notice as he seamlessly builds songs from scratch with his ambitious solo project. Vocals, Fender Rhodes, synthesizers, samples, and beat boxing are meshed together in his live performances as Taylor builds from his roots deep in ‘60s soul to his vision of future hip-hop.

Hailing from a musical family – his father being Bobby “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” McFerrin – Taylor feels at ease with a variety of instruments and musical registers and has attracted the attention of music luminaires the world over, not least of Flying Lotus who quickly invited him to join the illustrious ranks of the Brainfeeder family. This is the first chance to catch Taylor McFerrin performing in London, make sure you don’t miss it.

Supporting on the night, the inimitable voice of Big Dada’s latest signing, Elan Tamara, a name you will be seeing much more of in the future. Watch this space.
