...and thank you nsc283b for the info of the LP - I wasn't sure how 'official' it was but will definitely add it in tomorrow. Cheers for that.

It's certainly official, it was put out by the band, or with approval of the band, not a bootleg. It's limited edition, unique in that it has only early demos I think. It was expensive because of how it was marketed with the limited edition artist's print.

Many thanks for clarifying this.

One release I've always wondered about was the Too Pure Peel Sessions 10". I know that the three bands hand- decorated roughly a third each of the front covers (I saw a lovely PJ Harvey one the other day - the price wasn't lovely though!). But does anyone know which numbers Stereolab did (from and to) and is there any particular style that would distinguish their covers from the others as I'd ideally like to get one of theirs. Apologies if this has been covered before (I feel like such a newbie here!)
Thanks folks

Re: Stereolab Vinyl Discography

Hello again Pooh. Just one more thing, this time concerning the 10" Jenny Ondioline. As you rightly state, there were 30 on clear vinyl, 25 of which were signed by the band. However, there was also 3 copies with multicoloured vinyl. I doubt I'll ever get to own one of them.

Talking about the clear vinyl version, I wonder which is most sought after? One of the 25 signed copies, or one of the 5 unsigned copies? Obviously the 25 have all the signatures, but with the unsigned, there are only 5.

I see you have updated your site with the Eaten Horizons details. That picture is the Mathias Poledna print that came with the album. I can't find a website that actually has a picture of the album cover, however it is very plain and bland.

Re: Stereolab Vinyl Discography

Cool. I'm giving myself two vinyl Stereolab records for my b-day this month. Lucky me.

Thanks for the additional info. I've just seen the small photo of the multicoloured 10" on the band's website - 3 copies?! Blimey. I'll add it in later today. Cheers.

I found some old Lab Report newsletters yesterday dating from 92-97. Don't know if these have been posted anywhere else but I'll add them to the site this weekend.

Re: Stereolab Vinyl Discography

There's six 'Lab Report' newsletters dating between 1992 and 1997 added to the Discography site. A fair bit to read - hope they're of interest to those who haven't seen them before. Here's a link...

Happy reading!
