Could this be an origin for Come and play in the milky night? Sounds similar, especially from 0:30 to 0:40

I've seen a copy of the CD for £14. Should I not bother getting it?

it's a nice recording, but it mostly consists of groovy and pop drumming stuff

when I prefer melodies ;)

I'm okay with the err... sparse use of melody and some of it is quite groovy. And some of the vocalese is quite good. But I see why you'd be a bit disappointed and I'm not hugely sold on it myself. I think I might save my money, as my friend just posted this on Facebook and I'm definitely all over it like a rash:

Oooh, I'd forgotten about that one. Been meaning to buy it for a while and hadn't got round to it. About half the price of the Vincent Gemignani CD too!
