on 1/10 a really great local DJ is hosting a tribute to Trish Keenan at a local wine bar. mostly Broadcast stuff and various space-age pop are going to be played. I'm gonna break out a nice shirt for the occasion.

I've been thinking about her lately. It's been a while since I've listened to Broadcast. Certain songs just seem haunting.

well I went to this last night and it was pretty fun. the space was cozy, modern and had a nice sound system. the variety of songs played was great! lots of Broadcast, of course. 2 songs from Cobra which I found quite ballsy. Free Design, Futur Pompiste, Air, Wanderley, etc.
everyone seemed to really appreciate the tunes which made me happy. I wish I would've been in more of a mingley type mood as it would've been fun to visit with a few of them. my cat died so I'm all bummed and stuff. he was was so great.
