Michel Polnareff

I heard this album at the baby shower/party I went to this weekend. I hear Dutronc, Sparks, Scott Walker and lots of other wonderful things. bought the album immediately. diggin' the whole thing. love the opener:



any fans? I'm curious about his other work.

I can't see video embeds on this PC but I'm guessing you are talking about "Polnareff's". Amazing album, yes.

That's probably his career highlight (based on what i've heard) but I like a few of his 60s songs and the synthesizer music he did in the US for the soundtrack to the exploitation movie Lipstick is also worth hunting down.

"Polnareff's" is the peak, yeah, but "Polnarêve" has some moments too:
