Yeah, mine was like that too. Thought one of my discs was missing at first. Haven't listened to so much Can in such a shot space of time in ages. Always nice to be reminded just how incredible they were.

deadlyfingers wrote: Well, I'm still waiting for it... Went to two record shops and they'd both already sold out (this was released yesterday!). I suppose that's a sign that folks around here have good taste, but I'm a bit miffed, nonetheless. I think you can still order it from Amazon, but it has sold out at distributor level, so I would advise ordering ASAP if you're going to get one.

Did Can not release enough material? Are people somehow shortchanged by the brevity of their catalogue? Is this material perchance the music I've waiting for all my life?

Well, I finally got the set and I'm all about that streetcar, now. Jaki kills it. This one might be my second favorite Mooney track.

That's the thing: I think some of this stuff is as good as, possibly better than some of their previous back catalogue. I understand Hito's take on this. There's nothing wrong with Can's back catalogue. They made plenty of albums and were right to split when they did. There's no real necessity for this boxset to exist, but I'm glad that it does.

Well, when you get down to the nitty-gritty, there's no necessity for any music to exist. Here's the reason, there's a market for it.
