Re: Exorbitantly priced Stereolab items

Are any of them that rare? I see Stereolab color vinyl all the time on ebay. There are a couple sellers that still haven't sold Aluminum Tunes japanese editions for $100-200, including t-shirt. Been on there for years. Well, one of them it might be because Stereolab is misspelled...

Actually that may be the only one left from the past. Here's another one with the same color shirt I have though it looks darker. Also misspelled but Stereolab is spelled right, so it just isn't selling for that price for a while now.

Here's an overpriced one, it's not the first edition which was white! Not that hard to come by.

No. I've said this before, there is a big difference between rare and 'scarce'. The items in the OP are not rare, they are seen most of the time on eBay, the seller is seriously misguided and, unfortunately, some unwary buyer, seized by the notion of rarity, is going to get ripped off.

There are few Stereolab 'rarities', the Stereolab/Spectrum split being one.

Aha, I knew I remembered another one, also misspelled, or I should say spelled with a space in stereo lab, which doesn't put it in the same search results. This one is much steeper, however (if the truth) is unopened, which is kind of cool, you don't even know what color t-shirt it is inside.

Re: Exorbitantly priced Stereolab items

I think all those Stereolab "posters" for sale on ebay that are cut out of art books, are a rip off even if they're only charging a few dollars. So annoying to click on one of those, as a couple are posters I wouldn't mind having. Not to mention I hate to see books ruined.

Re: Exorbitantly priced Stereolab items

those annoy me too. I think it's funny how they always say how they're professionally or expertly cut. go you with that exacto knife! pfft.
