Well, can I be the first to say here that I don't like him. He is self absorbed, neurotic and lecherous. He whinges his way through films (whether he is the lead character or an actor plays him) in a way that only upper class people can.
Believe me, I have tried to watch him objectively a number of times over the years looking at all eras and I just can't be bothered watching the diary of a spoilt man whose biggest problems include dumping beautiful younger women.
