Re: God

Sweet as Joe, but don't take my word for it. Don't know how accurate what I said was; I never really understood it myself and it's a while since I read all that stuff. Get a book on it, seriously - it's amazing stuff and will blow your mind, I promise.
Oh yeah, e=mc squared, you heard of that? (energy = mass x speed of light x speed of light)I forgot that one - all matter; everything you see around you, is just a manifestation of energy. And a tiny amount of matter has a huge amount of energy; that's what a nuclear bomb is. But what the hell is energy? Maybe that's what God is. Everywhere, in every atom in the universe? I don't know, like I said, I don't get it, but it's fun trying.

Re: God

The universe is God? There's nothing more than what we see all around us, no other planes of reality, maybe. We are just the eyes and ears of the universe/God, experiencing itself. Whatever, goddammit.

Re: God

Yeah, I think when they were being persecuted and had to worship in secret they used the fish as a symbol for Jesus too.

Re: God

God existed before the universe did, God has always been, He has no beginning and no end, He is eternal, that's what eternal means.
There is an invisible realm all around us and sometimes we get glimpses, salvation is a glimpse of the eternal realm which existed before any thing in this universe came in to being, God is love so eternity with Him is highly desirable, no more sin, no more suffering, no more sickness and pain, no more cruelty and selfishness, no more greed and no more pride, no more murder or oppression, no more government or politics and no more arguments, total bliss for ever more, any one who thinks that this is wishful thinking is wrong.
Salvation isn't something that you have to try hard to get, you just simply accept what God has done for us through Jesus Christ at Calvary, it's God's gift to us, amazing grace!
It's sad but a lot of denominations and various sects within the Church have made salvation in to something that you have to earn by doing whatever they prescribe, this is so wrong, again I say salvation is God's gift to us and costs us nothing except our pride because admitting we're wrong is not easy.
Take care and God bless you, love Joe

Actually I happen to "know" (better source than yours) that your god did not exist before the universe and is, in fact, a rather recent (in cosmic terms) invention of pre-scientific Man.

But here's the catch--it doesn't matter which one of us is right (I am). You clearly believe what you believe because you need to--to get through the day (and dark, guilt-ridden night), to somehow cancel out all those horrible things you did to all those puppies in your youth (pure speculation)...yet you won't save us and we won't save you (from making a fool of yourself).

You speak as if you know metaphysical Truths but Joe, love-ly Joe, you don't even know basic English grammar. Most people on the message "bored" (*insert groan*) have been bored by your types before and we will be bored by them again, but since even you would admit that your god isn't going to come down from his cotton candy perch to settle this, why don't we all just admit that you are an utter bore and each and every one of us (me included) who has bothered to engage you is an even more inexcusable bore (what, with all those functioning frontal lobe cells and all) and, for Christ's sake, never again discuss which magical fairy-wizard we want to be when we grow up?

(Too much?)

Re: God

Nope, you're wrong, God did exist before the universe, and what exists doesn't need to be invented.
Pre - scientific man, sounds like a crap b movie and is such a vague concept it's pointless.
I have absolutely no "need" to believe in God, the truth is that it's impossible for me not to believe in God, you will understand this one day.
I don't suffer with guilt because that was dealt with 100% through Jesus's death and resurrection, and I didn't hurt any puppies.
Yes, you're right about this one thing, I won't save you because only God can save you, you'll realise this when sin has had it's way with you and you can't take it any more, the time will come when you'll realise how much you need Jesus and how much He really loves you, you can kick and scream against it until the cows come home, but He loves you so much He will go to extraordinary lengths to save you, just wait and see.

I? dont, particularly!! care. about (grammar) either'<.
It's common practice to capitalise He and His when talking about God.
And lastly, I'm not even slightly interested whether people think I'm boring or not, I have a message and I'll continue to give that message wherever I can..
So Wracket, lovely Wracket remember that Jesus loves you with all His heart, whether you like it or not,
take care, love, Joe

Ahh, I spot the problem here. No, see, I was out late one night raising one too many Holy Ghosts (or some other kind of spirit) and I guess QVC was on the TV when I stumbled home...because when I came to the following afternoon it turned out that I had ordered a lifetime supply of Sin-B-GoneŽ Body 'n' Soul Wash. So I've got this massive credit card bill to pay off, but sin is one problem this drug-addled, murderous liar of a goat-rapist (and that's what my "friends" call me!) does not have to worry about, thank X!

Re: God

I too have a problem with your story. If you genuinely believe as you say , how can you bless me to god without an intercedent? Huh?
