Seattle Designers Create Poster Project to Name "The Greatest Band Ever"
Published at 3:15 PM on April 17, 2013
By Laura Medina

The Night Shift Design Co-Op is seeking to disarm the common argument that leads to so many heated (and pointless) bar brawls, screaming matches and heady debates about which band, exactly, is the “Greatest Band Ever.” The Seattle-based design group is crowdsourcing and crowdfunding the project, allowing people to to submit their favorite bands for consideration by contributing a dollar to the project.

The poster itself is separated into 100 equal squares. When a band gets 1 percent of the vote, they will get one square on the poster (10 percent of the vote gets 10 squares and so on). When the project is fully funded, backers will receive a survey with some basic questions and a place to vote for the greatest band (ever). Backers that pledge $30 or more will receive a copy of the print (printed by Valhalla studios) as well as a vote for their favorite band. The results are going to be kept a surprise until the posters are mailed.

LOL It's a shit song and I've made the same mistake. Fire & Ice makes more sense, to me.

So is Led Zep winning in that poster?

I'd say:
1. VU
2. Led Zep/Stones tie
3. Dylan
4. Broadcast
5. Pink Floyd
6. Beach Boys
...
