Is Obama the Antichrist?

While I was out, one of my co-workers showed a temp girl this video about how Obama is the Antichrist. The temp was told a story about how there will soon be one religion in the world and everyone will be forced to follow it. She said Obama already has a task force of about 70,000 soldiers who one day soon will go door to door and break down your door to see if you are a follower of the religion. That is why it is imperative to have an underground shelter that is camouflaged, since the soldiers will be searching the yards as well.

Following this, everyone will get a micro chip installed in their skin with a GPS so that the government can see them wherever they are.

There will also be "safe places" that people will be taken to in order to wait out Armageddon, which is happening in 2012, and people will be clamoring for a spot because there will only be so many places...but, when you get there, what you get is actually a lethal injection!

The Antichrist was born somewhere besides the U.S. and has spent his whole life in training to take over. He was put in power by a force which is actually ruling America as we speak...and that person is Obama, since Obama is not a citizen of the United States.

The temp actually believed what she heard and went home crying (and later she found out she was duped)...but the person who told her the story actually believes it.

If he was, I'd be on his side. It's so funny that so many so-called Christians who claim to be on the side of goodness and righteousness can think and believe things that are so petty and evil.

I think, at it's heart, the urge to wacko fundamentalism is about a sense of powerlessness and fear of the outside world, and perhaps an even greater fear that they've been wasting their lives all along believing in fairy tales when the could have been living.

I wish they would all get raptured already and leave the rest of us alone.

If you tell this to a fundamentalist, they think you are crazy--but did you know the idea of the rapture originated with a dream that was had by a 15 year old girl named Margaret MacDonald in the 19th century?

Christian fundamentalists believe that the coming of the anti-Christ will precede the return of their lord for judgement day, where they will finally meet their god and live with him in paradise. Am I right about this? If I'm right, then surely the Christian fundamentalists MUST wish (at least secretly) for the coming of the anti-Christ, no?

I don't like it when conservatives refer to Obama as a socialist, as if "socialist" is a dirty word. There's nothing wrong with being liberal or socialist, but Obama is not a socialist.

JS, yeah a lot of them do wish for the Antichrist to come. They spend all their time reading "prophecies" about how the end times are happening now.

What strikes me as absurd is that the early Christians thought Jesus would come back in the first century, and there are still people waiting for it to happen.
