Wow. I loved Trainspotting and Fight Club.

Willy Wonka was OK (I like both versions)

Fargo - meh

Magnolia was weird, but it held my interest for some reason (not sure why)

Barton Fink - I didn't understand why this was a cult movie... I thought it was boring, but I was young when I saw it.

I can only think of one, Pi. Have you seen it LBO? I think it was the nonsense numerology and pseudo occultism that bothered, because I've studied occultism on a more serious level in the past.

Oh, I liked all 5 you posted, quite a bit.

I completely agree about Fight Club.
But Fargo was a great movie! (IMHO)
Trainspotting is a bit overrated, and just OK.
I liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was a kid.

What kind of films am I supposed to like anyway?!

Pi was a little overrated, I agree. I am a student of occultism, but the mention of gematria in the film didn't bother me. I own the movie, but I never watch it. I like Aronofsky's other films.

I was born in Fargo. The movie is much better than the actual city.

I agree with you on The Matrix.

I love Titanic, saw it upwards of 14 times.

The first LOTR movie was good but I wasn't sufficiently obsessed to see the sequels. I thought the ending was gay, and I don't mean gay in the "lame" sense, I mean homosexual.

Schindler's List--touching but I won't see it again. Not a big fan of watching the holocaust over and over again.
