Re: great ShoeGaze albums of all time...

I love shoegaze but some of the things I call shoegaze you might call noise pop or dream pop.

Jesus and Mary Chain, Psychocandy
Flying Saucer Attack
Chapterhouse
Swallow
Bowery Electric
Henry's Dress (self titled)
Piano Magic, Low Birth Weight (a few shoegaze gems)

It's not dead...

some current bands:
Experimental Aircraft
Asobi Seksu (self-titled and Citrus)
Eau Claire
Serena-Maneesh
Jessica Bailiff
Clear Horizon
Fight Bite

Why, are you going to tell us there's an amazing Norwegian band? Douze points.

Norway indeed. Here in France the journalists are livid that Patricia Kaas wasn't crowned winner. Hard to know whether it's madder that they expect "la chanson" to have a chance in any international competition or simply that they even actually care to begin with.

OMG

This is brilliant. God, I wish RIDE would reform. The live version here is shoegazey, more so than the LP version.

And for good measure, the complete LP version. Dreamy...
